GREAT SOUL IN MY COUNTRY 1 © 2007

I am eternal in the moment,

At the time of departure,

The attentive restlessness,

With a will to pretend.

In the grandeur of smiling,

The inner cry mocks,

Atrophied, crying,

At last, it kisses me.

Like a bitter lover,

In the announced departure,

The embarrassed face,

And the voice, silenced.

I am suspended time,

Between goodbye and yearning,

An intense echo,

That never ceases to lament.

And in the farewell, I feel the weight,

Of all that was left unsaid,

But it is in silence that I see myself,

In the eternal, where I chose to live.
