GREAT SOUL IN MY COUNTRY 1 © 2007
Grandiose womb that gave me life,
Turning me into the man I am,
Bed that you always loved,
Grand reason that always accompanied you.
In silence, I rarely acknowledged it,
But here, in mature papyrus,
As your eternal and devoted child, I write what I felt,
In distant struggles, seeking new futures.
So that today and tomorrow,
Pride may be a constant,
A glorious feat,
In the guise of a child.
In the steps I took, your name preserved,
In every choice, your strength present,
And in the journey, despite fate,
I am a reflection of you, eternally.
And now, in the echo of time passing,
I rediscover your embrace,
Seeing in myself your grace,
In the memory that I trace.
