A CRY FOR FREEDOM © 2008

And I, who am all in excess,

Where do I fit? Perhaps

Inside a coffin, I bid farewell,

For my time has come.

They may carry me on their shoulders,

But do not weep for me, sing,

With emotion, for I in turn

Will dream of you, and do not be astonished!

In departure, I leave the trace

Of a love that does not end,

And in absence, I create the space

Where the soul always illuminates.

It will not be the end, but the journey,

An echo that will envelop you,

And in the song, this tribute,

My presence will guide you.
